OM4 is high-bandwidth 50/125 multimode fibre that runs 10 Gigabit up to 400 metres and 40/100 Gigabit up to 150 metres. This 10m duplex patch lead joins LC ports to SC ports.
One end is LC (small push-and-latch, used on SFP modules and dense panels) and the other is SC (square push-pull, common on panels and media converters), so it bridges equipment with different connector types. Being duplex, it has two fibres (transmit and receive) joined side by side.
It is for multimode optics such as SR and SX modules, and should match the fibre grade of the rest of the link. The jacket is LSZH for indoor use in offices and data centres. Jacket colour is aqua, the usual colour for OM4.
At 10m it is suited to links between racks or across a comms room.
