A 1.5m CAT6 Ethernet patch lead rated to 250MHz, good for Gigabit Ethernet at up to 100 metres, with 10GBASE-T possible on shorter links of around 55 metres. It is the everyday choice for offices, homes and small comms rooms.
The cable uses unscreened twisted pairs (U/UTP), which is all most homes and offices need. A flexible PVC sheath keeps it easy to handle and route. 24 AWG conductors are the heavier gauge, giving lower resistance on longer leads and with PoE devices.
PoE ready: it can carry power alongside data to cameras, access points and VoIP handsets under IEEE 802.3af, 802.3at and 802.3bt (PoE++), up to 90W at the switch.
A good length for the desk: wall socket to PC, router to games console, or a short hop between neighbouring racks. Pink is one of several colours in the range, so you can colour-code by department, VLAN or device type.
