Rated to 500MHz, this 3m CAT6A lead carries 10GBASE-T across a full 100 metre channel. That makes it a sensible choice for 10G switch uplinks, NAS boxes and multi-gig Wi-Fi access points.
The cable uses a braided outer screen plus foil around every pair (S/FTP), the heaviest screening used on copper patch leads. For the screen to do its job, pair it with shielded panels, keystones and switch ports. Its LSZH sheath (low smoke zero halogen) limits smoke and toxic fumes if there is a fire, and is often a requirement in offices, schools and hospitals. Using 26 AWG copper makes it a little thinner and easier to dress neatly than heavier-gauge leads. The RJ45 latch is protected by snagless boots, which stop it hooking on other cables or breaking.
PoE ready: it can carry power alongside data to cameras, access points and VoIP handsets under IEEE 802.3af, 802.3at and 802.3bt (PoE++), up to 90W at the switch.
This length crosses a room or an office bay, for example from a router on a shelf to a desk on the far wall. Green is one of several colours in the range, so you can colour-code by department, VLAN or device type.
