Rated to 100MHz, this 0.3m CAT5e lead carries Gigabit Ethernet at up to 100 metres. That is plenty for broadband routers, PCs, printers, set-top boxes and most office equipment.
The cable uses unscreened twisted pairs (U/UTP), which is all most homes and offices need. The PVC jacket is soft and flexible, easy to route around furniture and equipment. 26 AWG conductors keep the lead slimmer and more flexible than a 24 AWG cable. The plugs have moulded strain-relief boots for a firm, long-lasting joint.
It is sized for in-rack patching between a panel and the switch directly above or below it. In a crowded patch panel, a blue lead stands out at a glance.
