A 2.5m CAT5e Ethernet patch lead rated to 100MHz, good for Gigabit Ethernet at up to 100 metres. That is plenty for broadband routers, PCs, printers, set-top boxes and most office equipment.
The cable uses unscreened twisted pairs (U/UTP), which is all most homes and offices need. The PVC jacket is soft and flexible, easy to route around furniture and equipment. Using 26 AWG copper makes it a little thinner and easier to dress neatly than heavier-gauge leads. The plugs have moulded strain-relief boots for a firm, long-lasting joint.
Long enough to run from a wall port to a desk across the room, or between cabinets in a comms room. Choosing blue leads for one job (cameras, phones or uplinks, say) makes faults quicker to trace later.
