This 1.5m CAT5e patch lead from Nimbus is rated to 100MHz and handles Gigabit Ethernet at up to 100 metres. That is plenty for broadband routers, PCs, printers, set-top boxes and most office equipment.
The cable uses unscreened twisted pairs (U/UTP), which is all most homes and offices need. The PVC jacket is soft and flexible, easy to route around furniture and equipment. 26 AWG conductors keep the lead slimmer and more flexible than a 24 AWG cable. Moulded boots support the cable where it meets the plug, reducing strain on the conductors.
Handy at a desk or TV cabinet, and long enough to patch across a rack or to the next cabinet along. Yellow is one of several colours in the range, so you can colour-code by department, VLAN or device type.
