Rated to 500MHz, this 8m CAT6A lead carries 10GBASE-T across a full 100 metre channel. It is the cable to choose for 10 Gigabit server, storage and uplink connections.
The cable uses a braided outer screen plus foil around every pair (S/FTP), the heaviest screening used on copper patch leads. For the screen to do its job, pair it with shielded panels, keystones and switch ports. Its LSZH sheath (low smoke zero halogen) limits smoke and toxic fumes if there is a fire, and is often a requirement in offices, schools and hospitals.
Good for running between rooms or along a corridor where there is no fixed cabling. Choosing white leads for one job (cameras, phones or uplinks, say) makes faults quicker to trace later.
