Modules sold 'for' a brand are coded to be recognised by that brand's switches; MSA compatible modules follow the industry standard for equipment that does not check coding.
SFP is the 1 Gigabit module, SFP+ 10 Gigabit and SFP28 25 Gigabit. They share the same slot shape, but the switch port must support the speed.
