OS2 is 9/125 single mode fibre, used for long links between buildings and across sites, over distances measured in kilometres. This 5m duplex patch lead joins LC ports to LC ports.
Both ends are LC (small push-and-latch, used on SFP modules and dense panels). Being duplex, it has two fibres (transmit and receive) joined side by side.
Use it only with single mode (OS1/OS2) transceivers and panels; it will not work with multimode optics. The jacket is LSZH for indoor use in offices and data centres.
At 5m it is suited to links between racks or across a comms room.
