OS2 is 9/125 single mode fibre, used for long links between buildings and across sites, over distances measured in kilometres. This 5m duplex patch lead joins LC ports to ST ports.
One end is LC (small push-and-latch, used on SFP modules and dense panels) and the other is ST (round bayonet twist-lock, found on older installs), so it bridges equipment with different connector types. Duplex means two fibres in one lead, one for each direction of traffic.
Use it only with single mode (OS1/OS2) transceivers and panels; it will not work with multimode optics. The jacket is LSZH for indoor use in offices and data centres.
At 5m it is suited to links between racks or across a comms room.
