OS2 is 9/125 single mode fibre, used for long links between buildings and across sites, over distances measured in kilometres. This 10m duplex patch lead joins LC ports to ST ports.
One end is LC (small push-and-latch, used on SFP modules and dense panels) and the other is ST (round bayonet twist-lock, found on older installs), so it bridges equipment with different connector types. Being duplex, it has two fibres (transmit and receive) joined side by side.
Use it only with single mode (OS1/OS2) transceivers and panels; it will not work with multimode optics. The jacket is LSZH for indoor use in offices and data centres.
At 10m it is suited to links between racks or across a comms room.
