Buying in bulk? This pack contains 10 CAT6 U/UTP leads in grey, all 0.5m long, so a whole patch panel can be finished with matching cables.
Each one is a CAT6 lead with an RJ45 plug at both ends, rated to 250MHz for Gigabit Ethernet at up to 100 metres, with 10GBASE-T possible on shorter links of around 55 metres.
The cable uses unscreened twisted pairs (U/UTP), which is all most homes and offices need. Its LSZH sheath (low smoke zero halogen) limits smoke and toxic fumes if there is a fire, and is often a requirement in offices, schools and hospitals. Its 24 AWG copper cores are thicker than the 26 AWG found in many patch leads, which helps with longer runs and powered devices. Snagless boots shield the RJ45 clip, so it will not catch when a lead is pulled through a bundle or snap off in use.
Grey is one of several colours in the range, so you can colour-code by department, VLAN or device type.
