OS2 is 9/125 single mode fibre, used for long links between buildings and across sites, over distances measured in kilometres. This 2m duplex patch lead joins LC ports to LC ports, and is made with a Minizip jacket only 1.8mm across.
That is roughly 40% slimmer than a standard 3.0mm patch lead, so more leads fit in a cable manager, tray or conduit and the front of a busy rack stays clear for airflow.
Both ends are LC (small push-and-latch, used on SFP modules and dense panels). Being duplex, it has two fibres (transmit and receive) joined side by side.
Use it only with single mode (OS1/OS2) transceivers and panels. The jacket is LSZH for indoor use in offices and data centres. Jacket colour is yellow, the usual colour for OS2.
