A 2m CAT6A Ethernet patch lead rated to 500MHz, good for 10GBASE-T across a full 100 metre channel. That makes it a sensible choice for 10G switch uplinks, NAS boxes and multi-gig Wi-Fi access points.
The cable uses a braided outer screen plus foil around every pair (S/FTP), the heaviest screening used on copper patch leads. For the screen to do its job, pair it with shielded panels, keystones and switch ports. Its LSZH sheath (low smoke zero halogen) limits smoke and toxic fumes if there is a fire, and is often a requirement in offices, schools and hospitals. 26 AWG conductors keep the lead slimmer and more flexible than a 24 AWG cable. Snagless boots shield the RJ45 clip, so it will not catch when the lead is pulled through a bundle or snap off in use.
It supports Power over Ethernet up to IEEE 802.3bt (PoE++), so one cable powers and connects IP cameras, wireless access points and desk phones.
Typical uses are floor box to laptop dock, router to smart TV, or patching between two adjacent cabinets. In a crowded patch panel, a orange lead stands out at a glance.
