A 4m CAT6 Ethernet patch lead rated to 250MHz, good for Gigabit Ethernet at up to 100 metres, with 10GBASE-T possible on shorter links of around 55 metres. That headroom makes it a safe default for new office and home networks.
The cable uses unscreened twisted pairs (U/UTP), which is all most homes and offices need. The sheath is LSZH, meaning it produces little smoke and no halogen gases in a fire; many commercial and public buildings ask for it. Thin 30 AWG conductors give a slim cable that bends easily and packs densely into busy switches. Slim leads are designed for patching, so keep them to the shorter lengths used inside cabinets and at desks. Snagless boots shield the RJ45 clip, so it will not catch when the lead is pulled through a bundle or snap off in use.
Long enough to run from a wall port to a desk across the room, or between cabinets in a comms room. In a crowded patch panel, a yellow lead stands out at a glance.
