Rated to 100MHz, this 0.15m CAT5e lead carries Gigabit Ethernet at up to 100 metres. For everyday home and office networking that is all the speed you need.
The cable uses unscreened twisted pairs (U/UTP), which is all most homes and offices need. The PVC jacket is soft and flexible, easy to route around furniture and equipment. 26 AWG conductors keep the lead slimmer and more flexible than a 24 AWG cable. The plugs have moulded strain-relief boots for a firm, long-lasting joint.
Short lengths like this keep a cabinet neat: patch panel to switch, or switch to switch, with no slack to tie up. In a crowded patch panel, a blue lead stands out at a glance.
