Rated to 250MHz, this 4m CAT6 lead carries Gigabit Ethernet at up to 100 metres, with 10GBASE-T possible on shorter links of around 55 metres. That headroom makes it a safe default for new office and home networks.
The cable uses unscreened twisted pairs (U/UTP), which is all most homes and offices need. The PVC jacket is soft and flexible, easy to route around furniture and equipment. 24 AWG conductors are the heavier gauge, giving lower resistance on longer leads and with PoE devices.
PoE ready: it can carry power alongside data to cameras, access points and VoIP handsets under IEEE 802.3af, 802.3at and 802.3bt (PoE++), up to 90W at the switch.
Long enough to run from a wall port to a desk across the room, or between cabinets in a comms room. Violet is one of several colours in the range, so you can colour-code by department, VLAN or device type.
