Rated to 100MHz, this 5m CAT5e lead carries Gigabit Ethernet at up to 100 metres. For everyday home and office networking that is all the speed you need.
The cable uses unscreened twisted pairs (U/UTP), which is all most homes and offices need. A flexible PVC sheath keeps it easy to handle and route. Using 26 AWG copper makes it a little thinner and easier to dress neatly than heavier-gauge leads. Moulded boots support the cable where it meets the plug, reducing strain on the conductors.
This length crosses a room or an office bay, for example from a router on a shelf to a desk on the far wall. Pink is one of several colours in the range, so you can colour-code by department, VLAN or device type.
