A 2m CAT5e Ethernet patch lead rated to 100MHz, good for Gigabit Ethernet at up to 100 metres. That is plenty for broadband routers, PCs, printers, set-top boxes and most office equipment.
The cable uses unscreened twisted pairs (U/UTP), which is all most homes and offices need. The PVC jacket is soft and flexible, easy to route around furniture and equipment. Using 26 AWG copper makes it a little thinner and easier to dress neatly than heavier-gauge leads. Moulded boots support the cable where it meets the plug, reducing strain on the conductors.
Typical uses are floor box to laptop dock, router to smart TV, or patching between two adjacent cabinets. Violet is one of several colours in the range, so you can colour-code by department, VLAN or device type.
