A 20m CAT5e Ethernet patch lead rated to 100MHz, good for Gigabit Ethernet at up to 100 metres. For everyday home and office networking that is all the speed you need.
The cable uses unscreened twisted pairs (U/UTP), which is all most homes and offices need. A flexible PVC sheath keeps it easy to handle and route. Using 26 AWG copper makes it a little thinner and easier to dress neatly than heavier-gauge leads. The plugs have moulded strain-relief boots for a firm, long-lasting joint.
It covers the distance to an upstairs room, a summer house or a ceiling-mounted access point. Choosing violet leads for one job (cameras, phones or uplinks, say) makes faults quicker to trace later.
