Rated to 100MHz, this 2m CAT5e lead carries Gigabit Ethernet at up to 100 metres. For everyday home and office networking that is all the speed you need.
The cable uses unscreened twisted pairs (U/UTP), which is all most homes and offices need. The PVC jacket is soft and flexible, easy to route around furniture and equipment. Its 24 AWG copper cores are thicker than the 26 AWG found in many patch leads, which helps with longer runs and powered devices.
Typical uses are floor box to laptop dock, router to smart TV, or patching between two adjacent cabinets. Yellow is one of several colours in the range, so you can colour-code by department, VLAN or device type.
