A 5m CAT8 Ethernet patch lead rated to 2000MHz, good for 25G and 40G Ethernet over short links of up to 30 metres, as well as every slower speed. It is aimed at short, high-speed links in server rooms, such as switch to server within the same row.
The cable uses a braided outer screen plus foil around every pair (S/FTP), the heaviest screening used on copper patch leads. For the screen to do its job, pair it with shielded panels, keystones and switch ports. The sheath is LSZH, meaning it produces little smoke and no halogen gases in a fire; many commercial and public buildings ask for it. 24 AWG conductors are the heavier gauge, giving lower resistance on longer leads and with PoE devices.
Use it where the equipment is a few metres apart, such as a router in the hall and a computer in the next room. Aqua is one of several colours in the range, so you can colour-code by department, VLAN or device type.
