This 1.5m CAT6 patch lead from Nimbus is rated to 250MHz and handles Gigabit Ethernet at up to 100 metres, with 10GBASE-T possible on shorter links of around 55 metres. It is the everyday choice for offices, homes and small comms rooms.
The cable uses unscreened twisted pairs (U/UTP), which is all most homes and offices need. A flexible PVC sheath keeps it easy to handle and route. 24 AWG conductors are the heavier gauge, giving lower resistance on longer leads and with PoE devices. Snagless boots shield the RJ45 clip, so it will not catch when the lead is pulled through a bundle or snap off in use.
Handy at a desk or TV cabinet, and long enough to patch across a rack or to the next cabinet along. In a crowded patch panel, a black lead stands out at a glance.
