This 0.5m CAT5e patch lead from Nimbus is rated to 100MHz and handles Gigabit Ethernet at up to 100 metres. For everyday home and office networking that is all the speed you need.
The cable uses unscreened twisted pairs (U/UTP), which is all most homes and offices need. A flexible PVC sheath keeps it easy to handle and route. 26 AWG conductors keep the lead slimmer and more flexible than a 24 AWG cable. The plugs have moulded strain-relief boots for a firm, long-lasting joint.
It is sized for in-rack patching between a panel and the switch directly above or below it. Brown is one of several colours in the range, so you can colour-code by department, VLAN or device type.
