About our CAT6 crossover cables
These cables combine CAT6 construction, with thicker 24 AWG conductors and tighter twisted pairs for better resistance to crosstalk, with crossover wiring that swaps the transmit and receive pairs. Use them to link two computers or two switches directly where the equipment does not support Auto-MDIX, or to keep a CAT6 installation consistent throughout.
Most modern network equipment detects the connection automatically and works with a standard patch cable, so check your equipment first; if you are unsure, a crossover cable will still work with Auto-MDIX devices.
