Built on wideband 50/125 multimode fibre, which works like OM4 and adds support for short-wave multiplexing (SWDM) at higher speeds, this 5m LC to LC duplex lead comes ready to patch.
Both ends are LC (small push-and-latch, used on SFP modules and dense panels). Being duplex, it has two fibres (transmit and receive) joined side by side.
It is for multimode optics such as SR and SX modules, and should match the fibre grade of the rest of the link. The ferrules have a UPC polish. Each fibre is in a 3.0mm jacket. The jacket is LSZH for indoor use in offices and data centres. Jacket colour is lime green, the usual colour for OM5.
At 5m it is suited to links between racks or across a comms room.
