Using fibre pigtails
A pigtail is a short length of fibre with a factory-polished connector on one end and bare fibre on the other. It is fusion spliced onto the installed cable inside a fibre patch panel, giving a lower loss and more consistent termination than connectors fitted on site.
Choose the same grade as the installed cable (OM3, OM4 or OS2) and the connector type that matches your panel adapters. Splices are protected with sleeves and held in a splice tray.
