A 5m CAT8 Ethernet patch lead rated to 2000MHz, good for 25G and 40G Ethernet over short links of up to 30 metres, as well as every slower speed. It is aimed at short, high-speed links in server rooms, such as switch to server within the same row.
The cable uses a screened construction that helps in electrically noisy spaces. Screened leads work best when the switch ports and patch panel are screened as well. The sheath is LSZH, meaning it produces little smoke and no halogen gases in a fire; many commercial and public buildings ask for it. 26 AWG conductors keep the lead slimmer and more flexible than a 24 AWG cable.
Long enough to run from a wall port to a desk across the room, or between cabinets in a comms room. Choosing white leads for one job (cameras, phones or uplinks, say) makes faults quicker to trace later.
