A 20m CAT8 Ethernet patch lead rated to 2000MHz, good for 25G and 40G Ethernet over short links of up to 30 metres, as well as every slower speed. It is aimed at short, high-speed links in server rooms, such as switch to server within the same row.
The cable uses a screened construction that helps in electrically noisy spaces. Screened leads work best when the switch ports and patch panel are screened as well. An LSZH (low smoke, zero halogen) jacket is used, which is what most building specifications now call for indoors. 26 AWG conductors keep the lead slimmer and more flexible than a 24 AWG cable.
Good for running between rooms or along a corridor where there is no fixed cabling. In a crowded patch panel, a yellow lead stands out at a glance.
