About OM3 LC to LC cables
OM3 is laser-optimised multimode fibre that supports 10 Gigabit ethernet up to 300m, making it a popular choice for data centres, server rooms and links between network cabinets. LC to LC is the standard lead for connecting SFP+ transceivers, 10 Gigabit switches and LC patch panels.
OM3 works with OM2 and OM4 cabling, as all three have a 50um core, with the link performing to the lowest grade; it cannot be mixed with 62.5um OM1. For longer 10 Gigabit links, see our OM4 cables. More help in our fibre optic cable buying guide.
