A 0.5m CAT5e Ethernet patch lead rated to 100MHz, good for Gigabit Ethernet at up to 100 metres. For everyday home and office networking that is all the speed you need.
The cable uses unscreened twisted pairs (U/UTP), which is all most homes and offices need. The sheath is LSZH, meaning it produces little smoke and no halogen gases in a fire; many commercial and public buildings ask for it. 26 AWG conductors keep the lead slimmer and more flexible than a 24 AWG cable. Snagless boots shield the RJ45 clip, so it will not catch when the lead is pulled through a bundle or snap off in use.
Use it for tight patching inside a rack, where a longer lead would only end up coiled behind the equipment. Choosing grey leads for one job (cameras, phones or uplinks, say) makes faults quicker to trace later.
