Why Erika violet?
OM3 and OM4 both commonly come in aqua, which makes them hard to tell apart once installed. Erika violet (sometimes called heather violet) is the colour adopted in the UK and Europe for OM4, so the higher grade can be identified at a glance.
The fibre inside is standard OM4 50/125um, which carries 10 Gigabit Ethernet up to 400m and 40/100 Gigabit up to 150m, and works alongside aqua OM4 and OM3 leads. More help in our fibre optic cable buying guide.
