About OM4 fibre cables
OM4 is laser-optimised to carry 10 Gigabit ethernet up to 400m, making it the best choice for new data centre, server room and campus installations, and for future-proofing.
OM4 uses the same 50um core and connectors as OM3, so the two work together, with the link performing to the lower grade. Use LC to LC to connect switches and SFP+ transceivers, or LC to SC to link them to SC patch panels and media converters. More help in our fibre optic cable buying guide.
