This 2m CAT6A patch lead from Nimbus is rated to 500MHz and handles 10GBASE-T across a full 100 metre channel. That makes it a sensible choice for 10G switch uplinks, NAS boxes and multi-gig Wi-Fi access points.
The cable uses foil around each pair and an overall foil layer (F/FTP). Screened leads work best when the switch ports and patch panel are screened as well. The black PE (polyethylene) outer jacket is made for outdoor use, so the lead can be run along walls, fences and between buildings. The plugs have moulded strain-relief boots for a firm, long-lasting joint.
Handy at a desk or TV cabinet, and long enough to patch across a rack or to the next cabinet along. Choosing black leads for one job (cameras, phones or uplinks, say) makes faults quicker to trace later.
