Outdoor patch leads have a black PE (polyethylene) jacket that stands up to sunlight and moisture far better than indoor PVC or LSZH cable. Use them to connect outdoor cameras and access points, or to run between a house and a garden office, garage or outbuilding.
Fix the cable along walls and fences rather than leaving it loose, protect plugs from water with a weatherproof box, and remember the 100 metre limit for a single Ethernet link.
